So, is World Warrior cancelled now because of this? I'd hate to see the Assassin's Fist crew let go with Machinima doing this SFV series with other people.

Assassin's Fist is the best (or the only truly “good”?) life action adaptation of a videogame.
It thus needs a direct sequel but I am not opposed to them doing this in the meantime as long as I get it in the end. The last official update is this one to my knowledge:

Wait, this means that World Warrior is cancelled? That sucks! I really enjoyed Assassin's Fist and it is by far the best live action adaptation of Street Fighter ever and to see it not get a continuation is a big disappointment for me.

Anyways, hopefully this new series will live up to Assassin's Fist because that is a real definition of a tough act to follow for future live action Street Fighter adaptations.

Huh, if this doesn't involve the crew from AF, I'm not going to watch it.

The guy who wrote Assassins Fist (and played Akuma) is co-writing this one with the guy who played Ken. So why all the doom and gloom? Am I the only one who assumed this IS World Warrior, but with a new title to tie it in to the Street Fighter V launch?

One of the best video game adaptions along with Mortal Kombat Legacy. Looking forward to see what they'll do with this new series.

Read the article again, doesn't seem to mention that they are working on Resurrection. But, they did make mention of that here. On that same link, they're also speculating that it may be a prequel to Street Fighter V, meaning it would be about Nash...

And, looks like they're right. I always liked Nash/Charlie/Charlie Nash (whatever name he goes by) from the Alpha series...so I'll be checking this one out.

Sad that that actual sequel to Assassins Fist has either been pushed back...or cancelled.
