Nice choices all; can't really argue with any of them, especially #1.

I'll just throw out one of my personal favorites that didn't make the list; could be called butt-rock, i know, but i enjoyed enough to not skip every time it came up Smile

From what will surely be remembered as the classic anime of our generation, Monster Musume:

I am sorry hope you are not forgiven for snubbing Raise your flag. Razz

I also can't believe you snubbed Ranpo Kitans ending (say what you will about the show that ending is perfection!) And also perfect Insider Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
For shame hope chapman, for shame Razz

Boy, if you got crap for snubbing Raise your Flag, you're gonna get it bad for for snubbing Overlord's ending too. It's a hardcore yandere theme you can easily rock out to. And I'm not a fan of Albedo, the images are nice at least.

I usually don't click with endings too often and other than L.L.L the only ending that made it into my playlist was Kancolle's (best vid I could find that wasn't muted). Really dig the trumpet in it.

Kancolle is the only show of the year whose opening and ending both made it onto my playlist.

Funny how you placed the EDs for Root A and BBB next to each other, as someone made a pretty silly crossover video with the two, with the characters in the BBB ED being replaced with the cast of TG (and some of the characters from the sequel, :re) Unfortunately, you need a Niconico account to be able to view it (it's on YT too, but it's muted).

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm27084724

Far from perfect, the animation is pretty messy, but it's funny and charming. Laughing

Speaking of TG, seeing the Root A ED reminds me just how talented Ishida-sensei is. Having the time to work on the illustrations for Root A, the drafts for Root A (that never ended up being used), a 366 page calendar just recently, a deck of TG-themed playing cards, as well as a weekly manga on top of that. Geez, the guy needs a break.

Other EDs I've liked this year that weren't in the list are Punch Line, the first and third Rokka EDs, the ED used in EP 6 School-Live (spoilers are in this one), as well as the MonMusu ED mentioned by Merxamers

I guess I should also mention how I liked every Seiyuu's Life ending theme, for obvious reasons. Wink

Also, why isn't there an option to choose a specific ending theme for a series, given that there have been multiple anime this year with several? Or is that what "Other" is for?[/b]

Again I've only heard one song in Hope's top ten list live.

Does anyone want a reasonably complete 2015 ED list like I did for the OP list?

As far as I recall when I raised this question previously, I think that if one likes any of multiple ED songs for a particular anime, they get counted together in the vote for a particular anime (ie not for a particular ED song).

Looking at the poll, how come Kancolle isn't listed? It wasn't listed in the opening poll either. Well, I put it under Other.

Almost forgot about it, but the ending of Seiyu's Life was great. It didn't make it to my playlist, but I watched it every episode. It was great hearing other themes included in it, some that really took me by surprise. Extra commentary by the characters was good too, but sadly Funimation didn't always sub it.

Orphans' Tears made it on there, yes! So happy! :D

Seriously, for me, it's not like any ending theme I've ever heard before. It's just so beautiful and evocative, and MISIA's voice is just gorgeous.

Listening right now so I'm not sure what all the picks are yet, but when I voted myself I realized only two EDs stood out to me: The ED to Iron-Blooded Orphans (which I adore more than almost any song in a long time) and Yuri Kuma Arashi's ED.

It's a real pity Shokugeki no Souma's Sore ga Spice didn't make the list.

That said, I'm ecstatic to see Concrete Revolutio's and AssClass's EDs make it, since they're both extraordinary. As for the top two, after hearing them again for the first time in months I really can't argue with their placement; I might've forgotten about them, but they're stellar songs.

And I've never heard Gundam IBO's OP, but if it had Nightcore in it it deserved to be snubbed. Nightcore is a plague upon music.

My favorite ending was Sayuri's 'Mikazuki' from Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace. It's actually ironic that you picked Tokyo Ghoul as your nbr 2, because the commentary you gave could have been cut and pasted to Mikazuki (except for the visuals changing, that's probably the only thing that maybe made TG's ED better.) I've also noticed that the singer of TG's ED is the singer of Ranpo's opening. Huh.

It's also unfortunate that Akiko Shikata's 'Akatsuki' from Yona of the Dawn doesn't qualify, since it was the 2nd ED for a show which started in fall 2014. That song is amazing.

On a side note, about the poll where we get to choose our favorites; it's troublesome that, for something that's a 24-something episode show, which most likely has two OPs and 2 EDs, there is only one option to vote for it. For example, Shokugeki no Soma's 'Spice' was a great song, but most didn't like the creepy 2nd ED. So, whoever liked Spice, may not vote for it because of the 2nd ED. That's a bit unfair, don't you think? I think every song should get equal opportunity to be voted for, since every song is their own song.

Is the Order A Rabbit's "Tokimeki Poporon" is over-the-top fluffy (skipping, dancing, smiling, singing and clasping hands) but it always left me feeling at least a little more cheerful/hopeful at the end of the week.

And how many other EDs have the characters challenge viewers to a game of rock-paper-scissors? Nice bonus...

Now this year had some good OPs, but damn it had great EDs. While with OPs I struggled to finish the list, this one I struggle to narrow it down! I agree with all but Haikyuu and Jojo (solely because I've seen neither of the shows), and my list still has a few that weren't on it, and there are some I like that aren't on either.

I kinda don't want to go over one's Hope mentioned, so I'll stay brief:

1) Blood Blockade Battlefront

It's true, it's really true, there's really nothing better than a great dorky dance party

2) Tokyo Ghoul

Like Hope, really stood out to me for being really deep and heavy. It's heavy, but yet still manages to stay light enough as to not overpower the rest of the song.

3) Yuri Kuma Arashi

I ain't a dubstep guy, but damn this song can get into your head. Too catchy.

4) Seraph of The End

Actually kind of shocked this one isn't on, I actually kinda preferred this to the OP. The vocalist for it is too good, plus Hiroyuki Sawano like, in general.

5) AssClass

Like Hope said, nice light little tune. Really good to listen to to settle down, I found.

6) Ranpo Kitan

Gotta agree with people here, this song was really really good. Sayuri's vocals really fit the mood of the song and the show, and really stuck with me. I'm hoping she does more anime theme songs in the future (Besides Erased)

7) Concrete Revolutio

It's kinda rare you get good instrumental theme songs, but this one was really good, and honestly I felt was really in tune with the show it was from. I mean, they DID use it in a lot of the final action scenes.

8) Kyoukai no Rinne

I HATED this song when I first heard it. I mean God, that vocalist, it sounds waaaay too high pitched. But this is one of those songs that grew on me, and I credit that solely to the music behind it, super catchy. I mean, I enjoyed their OP to the show too, even if that one had way more problems

9) Food Wars

Another one that really grew on me, really up beat and just fun to listen to, to be honest

10) Cute High Earth Defence Club LOVE

I am trash. Although, I actually prefer this to the OP, felt the guys harmonized way better here.

If I can give honorable mentions to things not listed here or in Hope's list, I'd say Chaos Dragon (Like CHEDCL, felt the actresses harmonized great), Gintama ED 2 (Love Aquatimez, they did my fave Bleach songs and my fave Gintama songs), Punchline (I am trash) and Wagnaria (The first ED I prefer to the OP from that series!)

If you can't tell, I like sung-by-the-show's-stars upbeat happy trash. Don't worry, I know where the garbage is, I'll go back.

I tend to skip OPs and EDs most of the times, but the only ones i made sure to always watch this season were Noragami Aragato's OP and BBB's ending. The latter usually had me grin from ear to ear and dance happily in front of the screen. Smile

As for ending themes, i pretty much agree with Hope's list, but would add Gintama because it's so full of energy and gets me really pumped up for the next episode, One-Punch Man because it's pretty and relaxing and such a stark contrast to the OP and of course, Dance With Devils for it's guilty pleasure value.

FYI: The "episode" title graphic (displayed 0:07 - 0:17), says "OPENING" instead of "ENDING", at least at this time.
