Not a huge fan of the ACWNR spin-offs and their OVA adaptions but being a fan of the series, I'll pick it up anyway. Glad they're giving OVAs some justice this way. Smile

Man...this series has really tanked on my list of things to follow, the manga's got a lot to do with that though.

Guess I will need to change my pre-order for vol 19 when this one becomes available. No Regrets was good for what it was and I would like to own it.

So I guess this means that it won't be dubbed?

Can't Kodansha just outsource it to be dubbed by Funi?
I would certainly like to hear it dubbed.

In Japan, the OAD shipped with the 14th and 15th volumes of the manga.

According to this article, they were included with volumes 15 & 16 in Japan.

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to buying them, I don't buy the manga but I bought the volume 17 limited edition last month for the Ilse's Notebook OAD and I really like how they handled it. The video quality was fine and the subs were handled very well, translated by their current manga translator and timed properly with no typos (that I noticed anyway) so it was a good debut for Kodansha and I hope to see the same quality for No Regrets and that they announce the other OADs after both episodes are released.

At least from the preview they look as well animated as the first season was. And also much better than any chibi OVAs. Season 2 HYPE!

It's great to see them bringing the next two OADs, especially considering we rarely get these manga OADs over here.

I too would like an English dub for AOT No Regrets but it seems unlikely. Confused

I see this being case where either Kodansha USA has Funimation record this or they just release using all the AoT cast that they can get.

A similar thing happened with the first season of "Free". While Discotek got it, it worked for Crunchyroll to have the dubbed first season using the Funi cast.

Given that AoT is an important series to both Kodansha USA and Funi, I think both would try to have it work out to have the same dub cast reprise their roles.

I love Kodansha for bringing the whole "specials bundled with manga" thing over to the west. They get all my love and support for this :3

My guess is that FUNimation will eventually dub this when they re-assemble the cast of Season 1 for Season 2, but this is a preliminary subbed-only release!

From a business standpoint, it could be a good idea to have this subbed only. I say this because then they don't have to risk trying to get the dub pool back or have to resort to recasts.
