Did Funi also confirm they don't have Air TV anymore?

Wonderful. This cockblock has been brought to you by Aniplex of America. Please look forward to our Blu-ray re-release of Darker Than Black later this year, for the low low price of $350!

Don't be so glum. I mean, they'll throw in a couple of postcards! Totally worth the extra price.

So Funi had Darker than Black for about 8 years? Was it just an expiration thing since I recall the series sold well. I still have my older complete collection DVD but, stinks that you can't legally stream the show for newcomers. One of my favorite BONES anime.

Well I own the show twice so I'm good. Bummer to those who haven't seen it yet. It's one of the best action anime.

What really sucks is that the first season has become rather tough to find. All you've got is the recent Premium blu-ray release, which is.....well, let's say "underwhelming."

That's weird. For one it's in their Classic line-up and they explicitly stated that the Classic line-up is for show that sold very well. How else can you explain Master Martial Hearts being in the classic line, the show is as far from a "classic' as you can get.

So, I can't shake the feeling that this license drop is do to unusual events. Something like (what was stated already) Aniplex of America getting it now.

I don't care who gets it next so long as they release a standard Blu-Ray set of the first season at a reasonable price.

Unless Funi fights tooth and nail for the license like they did with FMA, this'll fall back into AoA's hands.

Was $50 not reasonable? Also, you are shit out of luck if things go as previously stated and it ends up in Aniplex's hands. They will give you a price that will make the idea of a making a time machine just to go back in time to purchase the Funimation release more feasible.

I have both seasons on Blu-ray now so I'm good. It doesn't really matter to me what happens to it now, though it is a shame that it won't be streaming for those who haven't had the chance to see it. If AoA does get it, which seems likely, it'll probably end up streaming anyway though, so that's not too big of a problem. What is more of a problem is seeing AoA start to steal back a lot of their properties from other US publishers(not saying that's necessarily what's happening here, but it seems likely). I don't mind as long as they release things physically, but there are too many catalog titles that they are holding back from us right now. I'm a physical guy for exactly this kind of reason. Who knows if we'll ever get another DTB release! Who knows when Mushi-shi is going to disappear, or Samurai Flamenco, or Nanana! I want to own those shows.
