From the headline I thought this meant that the second season was just going to be shorts. I'm glad to see that's not the case! I'm definitely up for more!

Same here. I started watching the broadcast dub because I liked the character designs, but I was surprised by how much I ended up liking the show.

So from what I can gather from the article, the short will be multiple episodes long?

It also sounds like Plasmagica, Shingan Crimsonz, Trichronika, Tsurezure, and Criticrista will all have it centered around them, and other bands will be featured in individual episodes? If I'm reading this correctly.

Well, let's hope if any of these bands are tie-up bands that they're actually voiced by their real life counterparts. I still feel that if Labomunch were to appear they'd actually be voiced by the members of clammbon since their bassist, Mito, likes anime.

In any case, out of original bands I'd like to make appearances in the anime, I want Shizuku Secretmind again (but all 4 of them, not just Wendy and Corriente), StuddoBan Gyasshu, and Dolly Dolci. Baiganba-V appearing would be hilarious.

Wonder if we'll be seeing an article for the new musical news (Dropout Sensei were announced to be in it) soon.

EDIT: I didn't notice this sentence before:

Geechs are going to be involved in these shorts? I hope that means they're going to be better than season 1 of the anime was. Not sure exactly what "production cooperation" means though. Hopefully it's a somewhat important role.

I wonder if the anime will expand on how everyone started their bands and their reasons for doing so? As much as I like SBR, it had little backstory for the characters or development.
