Another Death Note something-or-other without Mikami. 0/10, will not watch.

This has been out for a while. I brought Death Note the Movie - Blu Ray on Amazon. I check the site and it is the same 1. I do have on pre-order Death Note the original anime coming out 3/1/16 on Blu-Ray.

Is Ryuzaki an alias Near is going by? Hell, why not Mello? He always got the short end of the stick in the live action adaptations. He wasn't in the movies, and he was Near's doll/split personality in the drama.

This isn't the same Death Note film you're talking about. This is a new Live-action film that hasn't released yet. It looks to play more like a Battle Royale kind of story where people battle each other over ownership of 6 separate Death Notes.

... If nothing else, at least the original mangaka are making money. The premise seems totally bonkers.

Well, Suda's presence is pretty much the only thing that could make me watch yet *another* iteration of Death Note, so here we go...
