One day i hope Media Blasters licenses Kissxsis it seems up their alley considering the type of titles they usually get.

I recommend to not buy anything from Media Blasters anymore. My last two anime DVD's from them were so badly, seriously. Ladies versus butlers and Kanokon don't play on my DVD player it get's into a weird blue menu, only through my PC I'm able to play the DVD. In addition to that Ladies versus butlers came with 2 DVD's with the data of DISC 3, despite the cover says DISC2.

I e-mailed RightStuf about this and they told me it happening lately to their latest releases.

I also mailed ANN about it to make a post to warn people before buying anything from Media Blasters atm, but they decided to ignore it.

Seriously how a studio who made great dubs and releases like twelve Kingdoms etc can fail and fall so deeply.

A bit puzzled as to why but then I guess it's better than DVD-R-only so whatever.

Wow, my only complaint about the Ladies versus Butlers BD was that the opener and closer didn't have subtitles. Also, there were no special features but the fansub I saw didn't have any either.

I have the old Juden Chan DVD and while I like the voice actress they cast as her, I don't like double dipping. Not even going from acceptable yet sub only DVD to dubbed BD.

On the other hand, I paid ten dollars for the DVD and twenty dollars for L v B BD so it's not like I can't rationalize buying it under my "I can't believe I underpaid that much for it" collecting clause.

I'll just wait and see if it happens... I mean, how much it will cost. Yeah, I fully believe it will come out.

Eventually. Maybe even "someday".

I didn't even realize Media Blasters was still around... They must rise out of the grave once every blue moon, and then go back to the fiery depths of hell for several months each time. How are they still a company when they seem to be so non-relevant in the anime market compared to over a decade ago, or is it just me not keeping up with the times?

Media Blasters has been staying alive by the skin of their teeth and Kitty Media has been what's keeping them going, as there will always be an audience for hentai.

They are starting a process of baby steps to return to relevance so they won't be so dependent on Kitty Media. This is one of them. If it works out there will come the time that they are licensing new anime again.

In a lot of ways, MB is starting over anew. It'll probably be a bit longer before they start making waves again, and that's only if moves like dubbing and BDing Juden Chan works out. If it works out… well, we'll see what they do. They certainly wouldn't be doing this if Ladies Vs Butlers hadn't worked out for them, that's for sure.

A bit strange as Juden-chan hasn't even been released on Blu-Ray in Japan. Or are they just going to use the BD as storage for SD-sized episodes? (I think it's been done a few times previously).

However, if it's simply an upscale, those of you who have them might want to hold on to your old DVDs...

Media Blasters made on-demand DVD-R releases suck, but there Blu-ray releases aren't made on-demand so they don't have that problem. I own their Blu-ray of Ladies versus Butlers and it looks great and doesn't have any playback issues.

Fantastic news! Really glad to see Media Blasters go back and rerelease shows originally released sub only with a dub.

While I don't like their DVD-R practices at all I bought the Ladies vs Butlers Bluray when it released and I must say I was completely blown away with the quality of the bluray, the quality of it was fantastic! The other thing that was amazing was the dub and even more impressive that its mostly new people.

Seriously its an absolute crime that Daniel J Edwards only has like 2 roles he was fantastic in the dub and I could have sworn I was listening to Justin Cook voice Yusuke from YYH haha

Will pre-order this the day rightstuf opens pre-orders as if the bluray/dub of this anime is even half as good as the LvB one it'll be worth every penny Anime smile

Well the same author wrote Kiss x Sis and Juden-chan so it wouldn't surprise me. Both series feature copius amounts of urination, so if you enjoyed one you'd probably enjoy the other... I can't actually believe Juden-chan sold well enough for a Bluray to be released, but if that is the case then maybe Media Blasters will get the Kiss x Sis license next.

I watched the series (Juden) on DVD, and it was one that I found so irredeemably bad that a single viewing was actually worth it. I did quite like the ending theme though; Plug is quite cute.

Oh and hey, how about that Kanajox3 release? Not a bad title to get as far as hentai goes.

I'll always remember Media Blasters for that time one of their guys came to ANN and bitched on their forums about one of the articles claiming they were dying... or something like that.

I guess I won't remember it clearly.

There actually was a Blu-ray release in Japan back in 2013 so that should be no problem.

As for those who have the sub-only DVD and are waiting for a DVD re-release with the dub, be warned that if it happens, it will most likely be a DVD-R release like the rest of their recent "DVDs" (see Ladies versus Butlers which TheMorry was talking about) & recent printings of older releases (confirmed here, here, here & here). Thankfully their Ladies versus Butlers Blu-ray has 2 pressed BD50s (see here) so Juden-chan should be safe on that format.

Even if it's upscaled, the massive increase in bandwidth for bitrate is enough on it's own. Given that the upscale is decent. Given the series is from 2009, I don't see how it could possibly have been animated at low resolution. But what do I know,
