Aww this sounds cute. Idk much about the manga but a mixture of fantasy and slice of life should be something fun to watch, at least I hope. And expecting a bit of comedy from this too.

This sounds sweet. Like Bunny Drop with magical elements and, hopefully, a better ending!

That was what I thought, too Very Happy The art style and premise give a shōjo-/josei-like vibe. I was surprised to find out it is a seinen series.

I don't know, I was pretty satisfied with that show's ending. Wouldn't mind a second season, though (hopefully maybe possibly? Smile)

If Agent355 is talking about the manga's ending, then I'd agree. As I spoiled the ending of the manga due to reading the ANN review for the final volume (yes, I knew what I was doing), I won't be watching the anime adaption for it.

As for this, sounds cute. A 30 year old man with his tanuki. Definitely haven't seen an anime like this.

I only watched the anime (I have the manga in backlog, but I just keep postponing it Embarassed), so I commented about the adaptation's ending.

Don't bother reading the manga. Seriously. The anime is one of my favorite shows, but the second half of the manga is just plain awful. Daikichi basically gets no screen time until the very end and the end is just plain weird. I was not satisfied with it at all.

Well, people have started the 'end of Usagi Drop' discussion for me. Guess that makes things easier.

I have but one question: is the ending better in this manga? Is there even an ending yet? Please tell me they don't spoiler[decide to get married] or something. Honestly, that whole spoiler[incest plot from Usagi drop seems so out of left field from what the anime had built up. Seriously Japan...WTF?]

Well? Is it better?

Another entry in the dad-fantasy genre. Did Yotsubato start this? (it's a pretty cute genre btw)

Is the tanuki child even a girl? I can't tell from the pictures in the article.

According to MAL's entry on the character, the child is a boy.

Doesn't need to be. They could pull a Boku No Pico on the viewers.

Sounds wonderfully sweet. I hope they take a few cents from Barakamon and have the tanuki voiced by an actual child, it would be perfect.

Okay, I won't. spoiler[At least, I can't remember if they get married or start dating near the end of the series. And, from the review, it seemed like Daikichi just went along with it because it is what Rin wanted.]

As for the tanuki being a boy, it says that it's a boy in the article.
