Tried to watch it. It's pretty bland, and pretty bad. I was really excited when I saw the first animated preview about 5 (?) years ago, and I was saddened when they decided to make it 3D, but I was still hopeful. Unfortunately, I was right, and this 3D show is pretty bad.

I wouldn't say it's that bad. I've watched about sixteen episodes in french and more or less it's your standard magical girl fare. The first few episodes were hard to swallow and the heavy romance aspect may turn people off, but that being said, it's pretty solid overall. It gets better. The creator tweeted that the backstory episodes haven't aired yet either, so we'll see.

OK, you're right, it's not really that bad... I was just expecting a little bit more from the people who claimed it was an amazing new spin on female hero stories. The interviews were going on an on about how amazing the story is and how much the characters will develop and grow and then... nothing.

Yeah~ I would say the romance-"mystery" aspect (Boy A likes his superhero partner, Girl A, who's true identity, that of Girl B, he doesn't know, yet Girl B likes Boy B who is actually Boy A) is pretty much the show's selling point.
[+] I'm really excited for the 2D ova though! That's what I really care about - the story told in the aforementioned pv that aired 5 years ago.

Heh I was wondering how this show was going to get a home release. Nick has a tendency of only putting a few episodes on DVD for some of their shows, and call it a day (like with Winx Club). So happy that Shout Factory is handling it, if I read correctly.
As someone who's seen the 18 current released episodes, I do agree that the first couple of episodes are the weakest and it gets better further on. Sure it's not the best show around, but I do find it fun to watch.
I do hope that by the end of the season (or eaely season 2), at least one of them finds out about the identity of the other, or is very suscpicious about it.

You're right about how overhyped they were about this. I was watching a behind the scenes and the way they talked about it made it seem like the return of the Messiah was going on or something lol. But I still enjoy the show and can't wait for new episodes to come out. I like the characters (pretty much the highlight of the show for me besides the dynamic action scenes) and it's fun to come up with theories about them since there hasn't been a lot of background covered yet.

I know it's third party, but it's a surprise to see a show featured on Nick getting a DVD release.

The animation is good, but the first episode really dragged on when the duo couldn't take down the villain. And the costume design of the villain looks a lot better than the heroes. Strange.

The fact it airs on Nickelodeon at all is weird to me.
It's officially owned by Zag, has partial animation & influence by Toei, has gotten funding by several partners (with Disney being a huge supporter), but VIACOM got airing rights?! They're not even one of the backers! It's actually airing on Disney in many countries. It's super confusing.
That being said, yay! We're getting a bluray release! The show is SUPER cute. I'm excited to own it!! <3

I've been waiting to get news of this! I'm complete LadyNoir trash and not afraid to admit it xD I don't have cable so I've been stuck watching low quality french language with English subs, really want to see this is good quality and support the title. I hope the release has English and French though, since I'm told the English dub is meh.

I find the dub to be run of the mill, especially considering the CG-mouth flaps the English VAs have to work with. Have you seen how fast the characters speak? It must be a pain to sync it up and get a single line out without jumbling words together. It's definitely not something to write home about, but I have a feeling it'll get better once the VAs dub more episodes.
What also doesn't help the English dub is that the French creators wanted them to use terms like "Evilize" and "De-Evilize." Makes the show more like a cheesy magical show than it already is

I'm the most disappointed by being told they switch Chat's "My Lady" into bug-a-boo or something...Like, he already said My Lady in English, why would they change it? xD

I've missed the first three episodes of this, but I've been regularly tuning in and I find it quite enjoyable. I like the voice casting too, and the token obnoxious rich girl reminds me very much of Nanette Manoir from Angela Anaconda. XD
