I like how everyone was complaining about Shouwa Genroku's drop last week, and this week with revised math I suppose it just dropped so much further.

To clarify, I mean episode 3-4's drop.

The cumulative rankings continue to make sense.

I apologize for continuing to beat the dead horse, but the latest episode rankings for ERASED and Lupin indicate that their low episode rankings from two weeks ago was an anomaly.

They both seem to have been affected by a statistical anomaly, as the author mentioned last week (also the rankings you are probably referring to are from last week not two weeks ago, though the respective episodes were from two weeks ago). For Erased, its low rating was due to it being a weak episode, which the anomaly exaggerated.

Dang Haikyuu is dropping. What's going on, Haikyuu watchers? IBO dropped more but it dropped to around it's previous level, so that seems to be a return to mean. Haikyuu however is sloping down from its consistent high ranking.

I'm not sure whether it's the top shows going into weak arcs or if the top spots are getting more competitive. My impression of the recent arc of long term top spot competitor, Gintama, suggests it is more the latter. Maybe the season isn't as much of a disappointment as some thought.

Yeah I guess people didn't really find a point to this week's Haikyuu episode considering the drop its made, and although I really like it I'm still surprised Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash is still doing this well and happy that Durarara!! is back to it's usually standard. Also that people are enjoying ERASED and Gintama's 'Farewell Shinsengumi Arc' Smile though the GATE and KonoSuba episode were nice this I don't think they were that good Anime dazed

I don't understand how the first graph shows Active Raid dropping from episode 4 (3.3) to 5 (3.4).

^ The ranking isn't done with a direct comparison of average scores, much less with a direct comparison of episodes from the same series.

Wow, wonder what's causing the drastic drop in Showa. I didn't think the last two episodes were the strongest, and some of it felt a little "pandery" but as far as pandering goes, it's still pretty classy.

It is nice to see Kono Subarashī Sekai ni Syukufuku wo! continue to raise in the Weekly Ranking (#2!). Out of the shows that premiered this Season, this show is one of the few that I look forwards the most.

Maybe that fact that its very clear now that its yaoi?

Yay for Konosuba! And it almost didn't get a weekly review.

Showa has settled as my favorite anime of the season, with Erased, Haikyuu, and Snow White all tied as a personal #2.

I'm also enjoying Grimgar, Haruchika, and three of the shorts. Man, my tastes are apparently all over the place this season!!

I would advise you to revise your definition of 'yaoi' (it's best to not throw terms like that around, unless, you know, you're trolling). Shouwa is nowhere near that extreme level. it's been tame and mostly just baiting - it's also a thing a studio like Kyoto Animation's good at, right?

Also I'd like to point out that Yakumo is in a relationship WITH A WOMAN, and he seems to be getting a bit more serious about it day by day. And Sukeroku had a daughter, so somewhere down the line he also has a normal (speaking under correction) relationship.

I was about to wonder about Schwarzesmarken dropping two spots after episode 6 was its best episode to date, but I see that the rankings only gets up to episode 5, perhaps because the reviews for SM only go up Sunday night or Monday morning, so it probably misses a cut-off. Also, I don't suspect many people are watching it anyways (it didn't even make that top 20 of the season among Japanese viewers list).

I actually lowered my rating on BokuMachi/Erasedspoiler[ because they hinted further that the most obvious character is the killer. Obviously it's the author's writing...but if it ends up being true (I'm fairly sure it will be) then the author is following a boring cliche in the "Child murder" genre. That's just severely disappointing after how good the show was going so far. ] No actual spoilers but anyone that it might give too much for people who haven't figured it out already.

I don't see why Yaoi is a problem there, its pretty clear at this point its heading in that direction (its extremely clear he doesn't have any feeling for the Geisha). I guess I could use BL instead but it all come to the same. And yeah Kyoani does it, but I'd classify sound euphorium as yuri too, I mean you can choose to ignore it but its obviously there.

Wow, way to go Konosuba. Shows good writing can overcome even the poopiest of animation. Though Konosuba does have these bizarre flashes of brilliant animation that stick out among all its poopiness. Like that weird hand gesture in the last episode. It was so fluid.
