Never heard of the series before but I hear dub and I'm sold! More unexpected dubs please Anime smile I don't care for Media Blasters DVD R practices but I did buy the ladies vs butlers bluray and was blown away by the quality both with the visual and dub quality considerin most of the cast is new talent. Will be buying this, Juden-chan and whatever other shows MB wants to give the BD/dub treatment Anime smile

(Yosuga no Sora next please MB -crosses fingers- )

Seems like an odd choice out of left field to release this old show. Maybe they're trying to tie it in to the next Dead or Alive game.

This news was like hearing that a hippo in New Zealand just pooped. Like...why should we care about this show? I haven't even heard of these dubbing studios before. o.o

Never expected this show to be dubbed. Surprised I'm interested in who will be the cast.

Will take more than an English dub to make me want to watch that puddle of mediocrity again.

Huh.... Not really. Remember, this is "Anime News Network", where there's news about anime. They announced a dub for this anime, so they need to report it. Your comparision makes no sense.

I didn't like this show when I first saw it, but I guess I could say it had a little bit of hate-watch quality??

Nonetheless, even if there is a dub for it to be replayed as background noise/viewing there are better shows out there.

Media Blasters licensed this because... well, there wasn't much else in their grasp, and a mediocre show is better than nothing.

Still waiting on that Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito release.

Welp, that's unexpected I guess... I mean, we're really going to dub one of the most boring shows in existence? Sure...

...Well, if it actually manages to make the show somewhat entertaining I guess that's a plus. I'm... curious... more or less.

So a low-budget ecchi show from the same season as PMMM is getting a dub? Huh. I remember what little I watched of Rio - Rainbow Gate! as being spectacularly bad, with even the fanservice looking ugly. It baffles me that someone at the corpse that is Media Blasters thought there was pent up demand for this forgettable turd.

It's really disheartening to hear about trash like this and Cross Ange getting dubs when legit good shows don't. Is this show really worth re-releasing? There was pretty much nothing of value in it.

If you go to Hippo Pooping News Network, I'm sure you can find news of such things.

If you're waiting on a release date, it has one. Here's some help.

If you knew that already and you literally mean that you're just waiting for it to be released, disregard this response.

Funimation just announced yesterday their Kickstarter campaign for the Escaflowne Director's Cut dub. What are you even talking about?

Eeesh the anime community is always so negative and seems to hate everything all the time haha I fail to see anything negative about this announcement. Subjective opinions of the anime aside media blasters is probably the niche of the niche of NA companies, they have a small list of titles they own and mostly rerelease older stuff, not sure the last time they announced a brand new license. Anyways even if you don't care about dubs or this title in particular (both perfectly fine) a dub IS being made so that means more people can enjoy (or dislike) it AND it's getting a high quality Bluray release which is objectively better them a sub only dvd only release. And what other, more prominent NA companimes dub/license is a really silly thing to bring up when concisering what MB does effects nothing.

I think it's great what MB's is doing, they don't have much stuff and seem to be making money off dubs and getting done new, cheap va to boot. Even if a person hates this anime isn't it best for the NA industry that any title regardless of quality can get the best quality, multi audio release in both physical and streaming formats? I'd hope most NA anime fans would care about having the most titles/releases/licenses as possible.

But i digress, I'm just happy yet another title I've never seem is getting a dub and bluray upgrade and I'll get to add it to my ever growing physical collection Anime smile
