He is gonna be ok.

Even if he die, he can always use some kind of reset button to reach a happy ending somehow (like that spoiler[crazy time travel through dreams and power of friendship at the end of Little Busters!'s VN, just after Rin 2 iirc]).

Or the extra dimensional robot teddy thing in Clannad (Am I remembering that right?), or the previously unknown spoiler[time-travelling sibling] in Charlotte.

Clannad at least got it pretty nicely in the context (and had the odd elements foreshadowed from the beginning), Little Busters and Charlotte just came out of nowhere with those twists haha

I get that he has quite the reputation, but isn't this a bit tasteless given the subject matter? Hospitalisation is usually a serious ordeal, no matter who it is.

[Edit]: removed unnecessary nested quotes. Please read the quoting guidelines. Errinundra.

Perhaps, but the irony of him always using sudden illness and hospitalization as a source of drama in his works can't be ignored.

Here's hoping Mr. Maeda-san make a full, comfortable recovery soon. His works of Clannad, Kanon, and Air are emotionally touching.

Hospitals are no fun ( Trust me on this. ) even if they make for a good plot point.

Here's hoping for Maeda-sensi to make a full recovery.

I truly enjoyed Charlotte, despite the show doing its level best to make me hate it by throwing away three episodes of stellar development.

Rest in peace, Jun Maeda. May your works live on, even if you won't.
