Tell me about it. That's some dedication on the parts of those voice actors. How do you play a character for 1800 episodes without getting tired of the role? |

Salary.
Sazae-san is the highest ranking show on Japanese TV. (Sometimes that role is usurped by a short running drama, but in general it's Sazae-san that holds top spot) with a 25% audience rating. We recently reported that the actress for Gokusen makes $20,000 an episode, and her salary was based on expectations that were exceeded by the show. The Sazae-san actors must be making a minimum of $10k an episode.... It's a very good salary, but not enough to make you "set for life" like the cast of friends. Why quit a good thing ? -t |

It's about, if I'm getting my facts straight, the daily life of a young woman. Nothing more, nothing less. Rather sitcom like, from what I've heard. |
