More Psycho Pass in the future? I'm up for it, especially if they make it into the movie quality and season 1.

I want more PP, but are we really about to get a 3rd season(if it ends up being announced) before Index III? WTF!

I wish spoiler[Kogami] could reclaim spoiler[his] birthright as spoiler[MC] of the series, but that ship has sailed since spoiler[his] role was completed in season 1 and the plan for PP after if it continued.

It's gonna be the biggest mistake if PP will still plant Akane as the main protagonist. We saw it in PP2, the show lacked the hardboiled action PP1 had. Kougami's inclusion will be vital if they want to catch the fans' attention.

Please no, S2 was already pretty bad compared to S1 and the way they have been using the setting isn't really doing the original idea any justice.

Reminds me of Samumenco. Then again at least Psycho Pass followed through with character progress rather than just having them give up on their idealogy like the main character for Samumenco.

Yeah, but PP2 really *didn't* treat Akane (and other characters with respect), ultimately blemishing what the first show built up. I haven't seen the movie yet – I've heard it's better –, but even after S1 my thoughts were that it's better not to have a sequel. PP2 made it very obvious that a second season was not planned from the start, and it just doesn't work story-wise. Doesn't help that another writer took over.

I'd be more okay with a sequel in the same world, but with different characters, maybe in a different time. Like what Ghost in the Shell did with SAC compared to the original movie, or what Garo is doing (not saying that Garo S2 is good, but that's for different reasons).

I saw the movie Tuesday night. It is worth seeing. The action is great along with a thought-provoking plot and themes. I would put it between S1 and S2 in terms of quality. It puts the characters back into perspective more or less.

That's a weird comparison, seeing as how there's no correlation whatsoever between the two series.

what if there was another Sybil type system that was out right corrupt and killing innocent people and kougami worked with akane not knowingly towards destroying it maybe it is from another country or created by a criminal organization there's a lot of ideas just not sure if any of them are worth a s3

There's a screening in NYC for one of the movies. I'm starting to become curious about this show now. I've seen the ratings so I'm assuming it's good. But word of mouth is always welcome for suggestions.

Well considering the after credit message in the movie pretty much suggests there will be more, I am not all that surprised.
For those wondering, the movie ends with lots of unanswered questions, and the screen reads:

The true nature of the Sybil System is yet to be tested

So yeah, S3 is pretty much guaranteed I think.

I liked S2, a solid 7.5, which is above most anime we get today which average at like a 6 on my radar. If you saw the movie, which is awesome, you can tell which direction they're heading in.

Bro if you have the time to marathon Season 1 in the next few days, go for for it. Then watch the movie while it's still being screened. You can watch Season 2 afterwards.

The film is very cool, it looks amazing on the big screen. And the story is awesome.

That is not true. Characters do not exist in a vacuum and with a law enforcement background new challenges and villains can arise. Will it be the Psycho-Pass of the first season, no. But if you liked the Psycho-Pass characters it shouldn't matter, if the writers and animators do their job right.
