Happy from Fairy Tail will be manga's main character
The seventh issue of Kodansha's Monthly Fairy Tail magazine announced on Thursday that Hiro Mashima will draw a one-shot manga titled "Aoneko Happy" (Happy the Blue Cat) in the magazine's next issue, which will go on sale in Japan on February 17. It will be a spinoff of Mashima's Fairy Tail manga, and will feature Happy as the main character. The manga will run in full color.
Hiro Mashima first announced the Monthly Fairy Tail magazine on March, and launched it last July. His Fairy Tail spinoff manga Fairy Tale Zero, along with spinoffs by other creators, launched their manga in the magazine.
Kodansha Comics publishes the main Fairy Tail manga in North America, and Crunchyroll is releasing new chapters online as they come out in Japan.
