New Yamato 2199 Film's Blu-ray to Have English Subtitles

Bandai Visual lists the May 27 Blu-ray Disc and DVD releases of Uchū Senkan Yamato 2199: Hoshi-Meguru Hakobune (Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Star-Voyaging Ark), last month's brand-new Yamato 2199 (Star Blazers 2199) film.
Both the DVD and Blu-ray releases will include 38 minutes of bonus video extras (opening day stage greeting, special, teaser trailer, full trailer, commercials, promotional videos), audio commentary, booklet, and jacket art illustrated by character designer Nobuteru Yuki. The Blu-ray releases will include English subtitles. The first copies of all editions will include an exclusive sleeve illustrated by artist Naoyuki Katō.
The Blu-ray releases will add Dolby TrueHD (5.1ch) and Linear PCM (stereo) soundtracks. The limited first edition Blu-ray release will also include a separate disc with an additional 180 minutes of bonus extras (second opening day stage greeting, second special, event footage, scenery video, video of prayers for movie's success at Itsukushima Shrine, storyboards). The exclusive Amazon.co.jp edition of the Blu-ray will also add a case to store all seven volumes of the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 series, the Uchū Senkan Yamato 2199: Tsuioku no Kōkai compilation film, the new film, and the new film's bonus disc.
The new movie has the "true ending" of the Yamato 2199 story with a three-way battle between Yamato, Gatlantis, and Gamilas.
