Layton/Yo-kai Watch's Level-5 Files for 'Megaton-Kyū Musashi' Trademark

posted on by Egan Loo

The game maker Level-5 (Professor Layton, Yo-kai Watch, Inazuma Eleven, Ni no Kuni) filed to register a trademark for video games on "Megaton-Kyū Musashi" (Megaton-Class Musashi) in Japan on January 28. Musashi was the name of a Japanese battleship — the sister ship to the Yamato — during World War II, although "megaton-class" is usually used to describe bombs. The team of Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen just reported discovering the wreck of the real-life Musashi in the Sibuyan Sea this month.

Update: Musashi's class corrected. Thanks, TheAncientOne
