The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan Original Video Anime Bundled With Manga

posted on 2015-03-27 05:55 EDT by Egan Loo

The ninth limited-edition volume of Puyo's The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan manga will bundle the previously revealed original video anime on October 26. The exclusive original anime Blu-ray Disc will have the same staff and cast as the television anime, and it will run about 25 minutes long.

A television anime of the original manga has already been green-lit for 16 episodes. It will premiere on April 3.

The original manga is Puyo's official spinoff based on Nagaru Tanigawa's Haruhi Suzumiya light novel series. Puyo serializes the ongoing manga in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine, and also created The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan manga series which inspired an earlier anime. Yen Press publishes both manga in North America. Yen Press describes the story:

This spin-off of the Haruhi Suzumiya series takes place in the world of the "Disappearance" arc of the original novels, focusing on the high school life (and romance!) of a tentative and bashful Yuki Nagato quite unlike the one you've come to know and love through the usual exploits of the SOS Brigade... but no less charming!

The voice cast is returning from the original Haruhi Suzumiya anime. The staff includes:
