Gakuen Handsome OVA to Include 8 Short Episodes

The official website of Gakuen Handsome the Animation, the video anime adaptation of Tohoku Penet's popular boys-love game Gakuen Handsome, revealed on Wednesday that the OVA will consist of eight short episodes. The total runtime of the OVA is 31 minutes.
The website also revealed that 10Re; (pronounced Inori), the voice actress who played Yū in the original game, is performing the ending theme song "Handsome Taisō de Zundokohoi."
Nekoroji, who played the character Teruhiro Saionji in the original game, is performing the opening theme song "Tokimeki☆Boyfriend." The anime's cast differs from the game version.
The "school love story" is set at Baramon High School, a private boys' school for the prefecture's most elite. The protagonist transferred into the school and meets various major players on campus, such as the "outlaw teacher," the soccer captain, and a childhood friend whom the protagonist has not seen in seven years. The school presents opportunities for friendship, love, and conflict.
The game debuted on PC in 2010, and then Tohoku Penet ported it to iOS and Android devices in December 2013.
The Animate group and Liverpool's "Ani Pū" label will release Gakuen Handsome the Animation on DVD on August 28 for 2,980 yen (about US$25). Team YokkyuFuman is animating the project under the direction of Tohoku Penet. Those who pre-order the DVD will receive a "All CV Takuya version" of a prototype DVD.
