PS4 Drops to 34,980 Yen in Japan on October 1

Sony announced during its Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia press conference on Tuesday that it is lowering the price of its PlayStation 4 console in Japan to 34,980 yen (about US$290), from its original price of 39,980 yen (about US$332). The price drop will be effective on October 1. Sony did not announce a price drop for the console outside of Japan.
Sony also showed two new commercials for the PlayStation 4 console during and after the press conference, previewing some of the games available on the console.
