New Strike Witches Info to be Teased at February 2016 Event

The official Twitter account of the Strike Witches anime project announced on Friday that the project will hold an event in February 2016 that will provide more information about the franchise.
The Twitter post teased that it might give more details about the 502nd "Brave Witches" Joint Fighter Wing, which the third television anime series will center on.
The official website for the anime franchise had revealed in October 2013 that a third television anime series had been green-lit, but writer and setting adviser Takaaki Suzuki clarified that the new television anime series would not be "the third season." The third episode of the Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow original video anime revealed in May that the new anime series would center on the 502nd "Brave Witches" Joint Fighter Wing.
The Strike Witches franchise adapts Humikane Shimada's mecha-girl illustrations. In the series' world, the alien Neuroi are invading Earth, and governments develop "striker units" that allow girls with magical powers to fight the Neuroi.
