Square Enix began streaming new versions of the debut trailer and the TGS 2015 trailer for its and Tokyo RPG Factory's Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (Setsuna of Sacrifice and Snow, alternatively The Pain of Sacrifice and Snow) role-playing game on Monday to reveal the game's February 18 release date in Japan. Square Enix previously streamed the same videos in September without the release date.
Square Enix is releasing the game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game retails for 4,800 yen (about US$39).
Those who pre-order the game on Amazon.co.jp or on the Square Enix e-STORE will receive a theme for their PS4 or PS Vita. The themes are different based on where players pre-order the game.

Square Enix describes the game as a "pure fantasy, true RPG" that carries on the tradition of JRPGs from the 1990's with party formation, shopping, dungeon capturing, tough battles, and tearjerker endings.
Square Enix previously revealed the new RPG project during this year's E3, then titled "Project Setsuna." The game is under development from the new subsidiary company Tokyo RPG Factory. The game will not have ties to existing franchises.
