The website for the Anime Japan 2016 convention is listing that the TV anime adaptation of CAPCOM's upcoming Monster Hunter Stories game will have 48 episodes, each of which will be 30 minutes long. The website lists the anime's temporary title as Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON.

David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, The Book of Bantorra, Hyperdimension Neptunia) is handling the animation production, and the anime will premiere in 2016 on Fuji TV. Fuji TV will create a new daytime (between 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.) anime timeslot for the anime for the first time in 10 years since it started airing One Piece on Sundays on 9:30 a.m. on October 1, 2006.

The Monster Hunter Stories anime is the first anime based on Capcom's Monster Hunter game franchise. CAPCOM's Nintendo 3DS role-playing game is the first RPG in the Monster Hunter franchise. The game is also shipping in 2016.
