PS4 Console Surpasses 35.9 Million Units Sold Worldwide

Sony Computer Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it has sold more than 5.7 million PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide over the 2015 holiday season, bringing the total number of units sold worldwide to 35.9 million.
The holiday data was collected between November 23, 2015 and January 3, 2016 in Japan and Asia, and between November 22, 2015 and January 2, 2016 in North America, Europe, and Latin America.
The company also mentioned that more than 35 million copies of PlayStation 4 software, physical and digital, were sold over the holiday season.
Sony released the PS4 on November 15, 2013 in North America, November 29, 2013 in Europe, and February 22, 2014 in Japan. The system is now available in 124 countries and regions.
