All Out!! Rugby Anime to Have 25 Episodes

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

A flyer at the AnimeJapan event announced on Friday that the television anime adaptation Shiori Amase's All Out!! rugby manga will have 25 episodes. The series will premiere this fall. The flyer also gives an English description for the story:

In Rugby, there is no Ace Striker and there is no No.4 Batter, so who is the star of the team? The story begins at school entrance ceremony of Kanagawa High School where Kenji Gion, a small but gutsy go-getter joins the rugby club.
Kenji Jōins with his classmate, Iwashimizu, who has a complicated past, and sub-captain Hachioji, who always takes good care of his Club members. Lastly, there is Captain Sekizan, who has overwhelming powers, but keeps his cards close to his chest. With such differences in both personality and physical performance, the team must learn to work and grow together to become the best.

The show stars:

Shōya Chiba as Kenji Gion
Yūto Adachi as Sumiaki Iwashimizun
Yoshimasa Hosoya as Takuya Sekizann
Ryota Ohsaka as Mutsumi Hachiōji

Kenichi Shimizu (Parasyte -the maxim-) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment and Madhouse. Masahiro Yokotani (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, SHIMONETA, Beelzebub) is in charge of series composition, and will pen the scripts alongside Shingo Irie (Kuroko's Basketball, Log Horizon). Masanori Shino (Gungrave, Black Lagoon, Digimon Adventure tri.) is designing the characters for animation. Telecom Animation Film is credited for production cooperation.
