Shueisha Manga Net's official Facebook page announced on Wednesday that storywriter Riku Sanjō and illustrator Kôji Inada's (Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken duo) Beet the Vandel Buster manga will return from its nearly 10-year hiatus on April 15. Sanjo and Inada will resume the manga in the spring issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. Crown magazine with the manga's "Baron Chapter."
Shueisha is also publishing a four-volume omnibus of the manga. Shueisha published the first two volumes on Wednesday, and plans to release volumes 3 and 4 on April 6 and April 13, respectively.
The duo published the series in the now-defunct Monthly Shonen Jump magazine from 2002-2006, and Shueisha published the manga's 12th compiled volume in September 2006. Viz Media published the 12 volumes in English between 2004-2007.
The manga inspired a 52-episode TV anime series of the same name in 2004-2005, as well as the 25-episode Beet the Vandel Buster Excellion television anime series in 2005-2006. Illumitoon Entertainment released part of the first series on DVD in 2007.
