Fafner Anime Franchise Teases 'Super-Important Announcement' in 2016

The official Twitter account for the Fafner franchise reported on Sunday that "Seitan-sai" (Birthday Festivals) for Fafner EXODUS anime's lead characters Kazuki, Maya, and Sōshi will be held this year. The account teases that Sōshi's event will have a "super-important announcement," and adds that the franchise's official website will provide further details in the future. Sōshi's in-fiction birthday is on December 27.
Funimation licensed and released the original 2004 anime Fafner and the 2010 film Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth. Crunchyroll streamed both halves of the Fafner EXODUS sequel series in various countries as it aired in 2015.
