Yo-Kai Watch Game Series Sells More Than 10 Million Copies in Japan

Yo-kai Watch 3 launched in Japan last week
Japanese video game news source Famitsu reported on Wednesday that Level 5's game series has sold more than 10 million copies in Japan. The total physical copies sold as of July 17 is 10,438,903. This number does not include digital sales.
Level 5 announced the Yo-kai Watch franchise in 2011 with a game, manga, and anime already planned. The first game for the Nintendo 3DS shipped in Japan on July 11, 2013. The newest games, Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Yo-kai Watch 3: Tempura, shipped in Japan on July 16.
The game series surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide last year.
