Atlus USA/Sega of America PR: No PC, Switch Release for Persona 5, Yakuza 0

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Atlus USA and Sega of America PR Manager John Hardin posted on Twitter on Tuesday that Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 will not get releases on the PC and Nintendo Switch platforms. He reiterated that Atlus will only release Persona 5 on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, while Sega will release Yakuza 0 only on the PS4.

The "box label" that Hardin refers to in his post is in reference to the "Only on PlayStation" or "PS4 Console Exclusive" labels that Sony puts on the packaging of certain games are exclusive to PlayStation platforms or on PS4 and PC. The Persona 5 packaging does not have the label, while the Yakuza 0 packaging has a "PS4 Console Exclusive" label.

Persona 5 will ship in the West on April 4. It shipped in Japan in September.

Yakuza 0 will ship in North America and Europe on January 24 in both physical and digital versions. It shipped in Japan for PS3 and PS4 in March 2015. Sega also released a free-to-play PlayStation Vita app in February 2015.

Sega will release both the Yakuza Kiwami (Ryū ga Gotoku Kiwami) and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (Ryū ga Gotoku 6: Inochi no Uta) games in the West on PlayStation 4.
