Spiritpact Chinese-Animated Series' Japanese Dub Previewed in Video

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Emon Animation Company began streaming the second promotional video for the Japanese dub of the Spiritpact Chinese-animated series on Thursday. The video features main character You Keika (Yūichi Iguchi) explaining the show's plot.

Emon Animation Company had streamed the show's first promotional video on December 15.

The show will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 7 at 9:00 p.m.

Emon describes the show:

Heir of an old famous family of Exorcist, You Keika is stricken by poverty after losing his parents and he had to struggle as a street fortune teller and as a computer recovery part timer to earn money. One night in a junkyard, he met the mysterious yet charismatic Exorcist, Tanmoku Ki who was fighting an evil spirit. This encounter was the beginning of a fated story for You Keika. Unfortunately for him, he was hit by a car and became a ghost. That's where, the handsome exorcist Tanmoku Ki appeared and asked You Keika to make “a pact” with him to fight Evil Spirits together. Here starts the friendship of our heroes!

The Japanese cast includes Yūichi Iguchi as You Keika, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Tanmoku Ki, and Rumi Ookubo as Shin Shiyou.

The anime is based on Pingzi's comic from Tencent's Tencent Comic website, and it already finished its broadcast in China. Li Haolin directed the series, with scripts by Reiko Torii. Kouichi Iizuka was the sound director, and Michiyoshi Minamizawa and Kenji Beppu are credited as sound producers. Rintaro Yoneya was the sound production manager. Yu Jiaoyan performed the series' opening theme song "MUGENDAI," and Riyo performed the ending theme song "Endless Stories."
