The March issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine published the first chapter of Hajime Segawa's new Raise Kamika manga series on Thursday. The magazine's March issue had revealed the new manga series in December.

The manga's "boy meets girl" story centers on two protagonists: Raise Daikoku, a high school boy who lives alone and gets by on his own, and Kamika Mikami, a girl transfer student. Their first meeting results in Raise touching Kamika's breasts, which leads her to accuse him of being a molester. From that bad first impression, both are eventually pulled to a mysterious world through unknown causes.

Segawa launched his Ga-Rei supernatural manga in Kadokawa's Shonen Ace magazine in 2005, and ended it in 2010. He launched his Tokyo ESP manga in Shonen Ace in 2010 shortly after finishing Ga-Rei, and ended it last July. Kadokawa published the manga's 16th and final compiled book volume in September. Vertical is releasing Tokyo ESP in North America, and it shipped the manga's seventh volume in November.

Both Ga-Rei and Tokyo ESP have inspired anime adaptations.
