Shinjirō's Fate/Zero Manga Gets Extra Chapter on June 2

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The June issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine is revealing on Tuesday that Shinjirō's Fate/Zero manga is getting a "bangaihen" (extra) chapter in the July issue on June 2. The main manga is ending in the June issue on Tuesday.

The manga previously revealed that its 14th compiled book volume would be the last.

Shinjirō launched the manga in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine in 2011. Kadokawa published the manga's 13th compiled book volume (seen right) on December 31. The Fate/Zero television anime also debuted in 2011, and its second season premiered in 2012.

The anime and manga adapt the prequel Fate/Zero light novel series by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) of Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the original visual novel.

Dark Horse Comics licensed the manga in 2014 and released the fourth compiled volume on February 28.
