Comic Market 92 Attracts 150,000 Attendees on 2nd Day

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The Comic Market 92 (Comiket 92) event in Tokyo drew approximately 150,000 attendees on August 12, the convention's second day. Attendance was down from Comiket 90's 170,000 last summer, and down from Comiket 88's 160,000 in summer 2015.

Comiket 91 attracted 170,000 people on its second day on December 30.

The convention drew around 160,000 attendees yesterday, which was up from last summer's 150,000 attendees at Comiket 90, and down from Comiket 88's 180,000 in summer 2015.

Tokyo Big Sight's West 2 Hall is closed at this summer's event due to expansion construction work to prepare for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The event's staff speculated that Saturday's rainy morning may have had an influence on the attendance numbers.
