Atlus Teases New Catherine Game in Livestream

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Atlus held a 30-minute livestream event last Thursday that focused on its newly formed Studio Zero division. It began the livestream with Trisha, "The Midnight Venus," a character from Atlus' Catherine game.

In the livestream, Trisha appears as the "host" of the "Golden Employment Special," just as she hosts the "Golden Playhouse" television program in the game. After the main events of the stream conclude, Trisha returns at 28:30 in the below video and says, "By the way, I'm looking forward to the fantasy RPG of course, but isn't it my turn yet?" She jokes that she will be the main heroine "this time," and then exclaims in surprise that her "next job" has come.

Atlus released its Catherine game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. The game shared some notable staff with Atlus' Persona series, including director and producer Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. Studio 4°C produced the animated sequences.

Hashino is heading Atlus' new Studio Zero division. The division is working on a new fantasy role-playing game project codenamed Project Re Fantasy: A Fool's Journey Begins.
