Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya Listed With November 15 Opening in Indonesia

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Indonesian cinema chain CGV Cinemas Indonesia began listing Gekijōban Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Sekka no Chikai (Movie Version Fate/kaleid liner Prisma ☆ Illya: Oath Under the Snow), the new anime film in the Prisma Illya franchise, with a November 15 opening date on Sunday.

Odex announced earlier this month that it indefinitely delayed the screenings of all of its anime movie releases in Indonesia due to an incident of alleged illegal recording of the No Game, No Life Zero anime film in the country. Gekijōban Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Sekka no Chikai was one of the titles listed as affected by the delay. ANN has reached out to Odex to confirm the Indonesian screenings and will update the article once we receive a response.

The film opened in Japan on August 26. The film debuted at #1 on Japan's mini-theater rankings.

Shin Oonuma (No-Rin, WATAMOTE) returned to direct the film at SILVER LINK, and Hayato Kaneko (Dusk maiden of Amnesia, No-Rin) again served as producer. Kenji Inoue (Baka to Test to Shōkanjū) and Hazuki Minase () returned to write the script, and Kazuya Hirata returned as the character designer. Tatsuya Katou (Love Live! Sunshine!!, SukaSuka) and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND composed the music at Lantis. Kadokawa Animation is distributing the film. ChouCho performed the film's theme song "kaleidoscope."

Edit: Odex clarified that it is "clearing the movie rights for Indonesia one title at a time" and enjoins audiences to refrain from recording the movie during the screening, and to shout at those who record, or inform a cinema attendant.
