News Pokémon Game Franchise's Combined Shipments, Download Sales Reach 300 Million Copies

The Pokemon Company revealed on Friday that the combined worldwide shipments and digital sales numbers for its entire Pokémon video game franchise has reached 300 million copies. This includes all 76 video game titles for the franchise released between February 1996 and November 2017.
Nintendo, GAME FREAK, and The Pokemon Company released the latest game entry in the franchise, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, worldwide on November 17. The games sold nearly 1.2 million physical copies in Japan in the first three days.
The Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games launched on November 18, 2016. The games were Nintendo's best pre-selling games in history. Nintendo shipped 10 million copies worldwide in its initial shipment, a new record for the company. As of January, Nintendo had sold 14.69 million units worldwide.
