The official website for SILVER LINK's Butlers: Chitose Momotose Monogatari (Butlers: A Millennium Century Story) television anime revealed the anime's premiere date on Wednesday. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV on April 11 after midnight (effectively on April 12 morning) at 1:05 a.m., 2:05 a.m., 1:05 a.m., and 1:30 a.m., respectively . It will also run on BS11 on April 13 (effectively April 14 morning) at 1:00 a.m. and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu on April 14 (effectively April 15 morning) at 2:25 a.m.

The anime was originally slated to premiere in January, but was delayed to April. The anime will have a special talk show event at AnimeJapan in Tokyo on March 24 at 2:10 p.m. Suzuki, Satō, and Toyonaga will appear at the event. Suzuki and Satō will then appear at an advance screening of the first two episodes at Tokyo's Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro theater that day at 8:00 p.m.

The anime centers on two protagonists. Koma Jinguji (Jay) is the smart and handsome student council president. His elegant smile captures the hearts of women. Tsubasa Hayakawa is a multi-talented and gentle shop assistant at a café. His cafe latte with owl latte art is very popular with female customers. "Intouchable Butlers" (SummerACG) is credited with the show's original work. Masaru Takahashi (unit director for Masamune-kun's Revenge, animation director for Dusk maiden of Amnesia) is directing the series at SILVER LINK. Megumi Shimizu (scriptwriter for Soul Eater, Eureka Seven, Snow White with the Red Hair) is overseeing the series scripts, Fujiko Kosumi (Samurai Drive, 1 Sakura Hill manga artist) is drawing the original character designs, and Masanori Tsuchiya (Restaurant to Another World, Chaos;Child) is the sound director. TOMISIRO (Macross Delta, Restaurant to Another World, Hozuki's Coolheadedness) is composing the music at Lantis. Rock band OLDCODEX is performing the anime's opening theme song "Growth Arrow." Misawa is performing the anime's ending theme song "Hidamari no Niwa ~Eternal Garden~."
