posted on by Karen Ressler

The bilibili booth at Anime Japan 2018 is displaying a poster that announces that the television anime of Frontwing and Prototype's ISLAND visual novel will premiere this summer.

The anime will have a stage event at the AnimeJapan event on Saturday. The anime's staff will announce the voice cast for the male protagonist Setsuna Sanzenkai at the event.

Frontwing describes the game:

Urashima, an island far from the mainland. The people who live there lead carefree lives. But five years ago, the island's three great families suffered a series of misfortunes, and succumbed to suspicion. The people of the island cut off all contact with the mainland, and began a slow decline. The key to saving the island lies in three girls who belong to the three families. But they are bound by old traditions, and are conflicted. On that island, a lone man washes ashore. The man claims to be from the future, and he begins a solitary struggle to change the island's fate.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Frame Arms Girl) is directing the series, Naruhisa Arakawa (Outbreak Company, Kingdom) is handling the series composition, and Kōsuke Kawamura (Frame Arms Girl, OniAi) is designing the characters. Yukari Tamura is performing the anime's opening theme song while Asaka (Occultic;Nine, A Centaur's Life, Laid-Back Camp) is performing the ending theme song.
