Konami Reports 24.3% Increase in Profits for 2017

Konami reported an overall revenue of 239,497 million yen (about US$2.19 billion) for its fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2018, and noted that this was a a 4.2% increase from the previous year. Its operating profit for the year is 45,181 million yen (about US$413 million), a 24.3% increase from last year.

Konami's highest earning business segment is "digital entertainment," which includes mobile games, card games, and video games. The segment earned a revenue of 120,250 million yen (about US$1.1 billion). Its second highest-earning segment was amusement machines (such as arcade games), which earned 25,178 million yen (about US$228 million), followed by "Gaming & Systems" (slot machines) and "Health & Fitness."

The company expects to earn a revenue of 250,000 million yen (US$2.26 million) and operating profit of 50,000 million yen (US$453 million) by March 19, 2019.
