Escaflowne Director Kazuki Akane's New Anime Teased With Visual

The official Twitter account for the TBS Anime Festa unveiled the poster for its 2018 event on Sunday, showing a new anime visual illustrated by Itsuka. Though the event website does not label the anime, the characters match the designs for director Kazuki Akane and animation studio 8-Bit's new original project.
8-Bit (Encouragement of Climb, Rewrite, Infinite Stratos, Tokyo Ravens, Knight's & Magic) and Akane (Escaflowne series and film, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Noein - to your other self) announced the as-yet-untitled project in April. Akane is in charge of the original work and scenario, and is also directing the project. Illustrator Itsuka is in charge of the project's original character designs. The work will center on the drama of children going through puberty.
TBS Anime Festa 2018 will take place on August 18. Featured anime titles will include Megalobox, Dances with the Dragons, Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight, and Seven Senses of the Re'Union.
