Kemono Friends Season 2 Anime's Visual Adds Rockhopper, Humboldt Penguin

The official website for the Kemono Friends franchise revealed an updated version of the visual for the anime's second season on Friday. Rockhopper Penguin and Humboldt Penguin, the last two members of the PPP idol unit, now appear in the visual with Serval, a previously teased new character, Gentoo Penguin, Royal Penguin, and Emperor Penguin.
The staff has yet to reveal the new season's director and studio. The first season's director TATSUKI previously said he would not be working on the second season, and the show's producer said that anime studio Yaoyorozu will not return.
The staff is holding auditions for a new unit in Kemono Friends.
Nexon's original Kemono Friends app game launched in early 2016 and ended service in December of that year — before the Kemono Friends anime even aired. The 12-episode television anime then premiered on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka in January 2017 and ended in March 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
