Funimation's License for Live-Action Ichi Expires

Funimation announced on Tuesday that its streaming license for the live-action Ichi film will expire on October 16. The film will no longer be available on the company's streaming service on that date.

The film is Fumihiko Sori's live-action re-imagining of the famous blind swordmaster character Zatoichi. In this 2008 retelling of the Japanese classic, Ichi is a female fighter played by Haruka Ayase.

Funimation licensed Ichi in 2009.
