Dropkick on my Devil Staff: Anime Needs to Sell 500 More Boxes for 2nd Season

posted on by Karen Ressler

The official Twitter account for the television anime of Yukiwo's Jashin-chan Dropkick (Dropkick on My Devil!) manga announced on Monday that the anime's Blu-ray Disc and DVD box sets have sold a combined 1,500 copies towards the 2,000 needed to guarantee a second season. The staff will no longer provide updates on the count until the "Sugoi Sabato" event on January 20, when it will announce the result.

The staff announced last month that if the Blu-ray Disc and DVD box sets sell a combined 2,000 copies before the January 20, executive producer Kouichirou Natsume will decide to greenlight a second season of the show. The Twitter account has updated several times since with updated sales numbers.

The anime premiered on July 9. The anime is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan. Amazon Prime Video premiered the final bonus episode on October 1.
