Girls' High Author Towa Oshima Draws 1-Shot Manga in January

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

The January 2019 issue of Shonengahosha's Young King BULL magazine revealed on December 4 that manga creator Towa Oshima will publish a one-shot in the magazine's next issue on January 4. The one-shot manga will have 32 pages, and is titled "Neru Jō wa Sodatsu" (The Sleeping Girl is Grown Up). The manga centers on the "Sleeping Beauty" of a class, who is also the daughter and successor of a family who run a futon shop.

Oshima and Shibukichi Chabashira ended their Shitamachi Sentō Kazoku (Shitamachi Bath House Family) manga in the fourth and final volume on October 22.

Comics One licensed Oshima's Joshi Kōsei Girls-High manga in 2004, and DrMaster published all nine volumes of the manga under the title High School Girls between 2005 and 2008. JManga also hosted the first volume of the series before ceasing operations. The manga inspired a television anime series in 2006, and Media Blasters licensed the series under the title Girl's High for North America that same year.
