German Rating Board Lists 'Catherine Classic' Game

posted on by Alex Mateo

Sega of Europe submitted a PC game titled "Catherine Classic" for a rating on December 20, 2018 to Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle (USK; Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body), the German game rating board.

The Australian Classification Board previously rated a game titled "Catherine Classic" by Atlus in December.

ESRB's listing for the original Catherine game now lists Windows PC in addition to PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

The official Twitter account for Atlus' Catherine: Full Body game will share an announcement about the game on Friday at 12:00 p.m. JST (Thursday at 10:00 p.m. EST).

Atlus released its mature action-adventure/puzzle game Catherine for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. Atlus USA released the game in North America in 2011, and the game also shipped in Europe and Australia in 2012. The game was a collaboration between Atlus and the Genius Party animators at Studio 4°C. The game shared notable staff with Atlus' Persona series, including director and producer Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. Studio 4°C produced the animated sequences.

Atlus' Studio Zero is developing a new version of the game titled Catherine: Full Body that will ship in Japan on February 14 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will also get a release in the Americas and Europe this year.
