Fuji Games announced on Friday that it will release its Fairy Tail DiceMagic smartphone action role-playing game based on Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga and anime on January 17. The game was originally slated for fall 2018.
The game will include both the main characters of the manga as well as new characters. Shown in the visual at right is Viseru, one of the game's original characters.
The game is based on the traditional Japanese dice game sugoroku. A mysterious form of magic called "DICE" suddenly appears in the land of Ishgar. The DICE takes away the liberty of all who fall under its fate. The Magic Council calls upon the guilds in Fiore to liberate Ishgar from DICE. Thus, Natsu and the other wizards embark on a new adventure.
Mashima's Fairy Tail manga series follows the adventures of world's most notorious wizard guild, Fairy Tail. The manga launched in 2006, and ended in July 2017. The latest and final anime season premiered in Japan on October 7. Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the anime with English subtitles. Funimation is also streaming an English dub.
