Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Granblue Fantasy Versus PS4 Games Get Simultaneous Worldwide Releases

The website Twinfinite reported on Tuesday that game director Tetsuya Fukuhara told the website that the Granblue Fantasy: Relink PlayStation 4 game and the Granblue Fantasy Versus PlayStation 4 game will have simultaneous worldwide releases. Fukuhara also said that Cygames is using its experience from the original Granblue Fantasy smartphone game to handle localization internally.
In addition, Fukuhara said that Granblue Fantasy: Relink was delayed from its initial 2018 release date after the project became "more and more massive" and it was harder than developers expected to "implement the full details" of the game's world into 3D models. The developers decided to delay the release to improve the game's quality. The staff have yet to announce a release date because, Fukuhara said, they want to avoid having another delay from an announced date.
Cygames announced earlier this month that it is taking over development of Granblue Fantasy: Relink from Platinum Games. The game is planned for English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish localizations.
Cygames announced Arc System Works' Granblue Fantasy Versus game in December, and it is slated to launch in Japan in 2019.
