Hot Gimmick Manga Gets New Chapter in June

The June issue of Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine revealed on Monday that Miki Aihara will publish a new one-shot chapter for her Hot Gimmick manga in the magazine's July issue on June 13. The manga will feature on the July issue's cover, and the chapter will have an opening color page. The chapter's title is "Tachibana Ryoki wa Ubenawanai" (Ryoki Tachibana Won't Agree).
The chapter will celebrate the opening of the manga's live-action film adaptation in Japan on June 28.
Aihara published the manga in Betsucomi from 2000-2005, and Shogakukan published 12 compiled volumes for the manga. The manga has more than 4.5 million copies in print. Viz Media published the manga in 12 compiled volumes in 2003-2006, and then republished the series in four omnibus volumes in 2009. The company also published the Hot Gimmick S novel in 2007.
Viz Media has also published Aihara's Tokyo Boys & Girls and Honey Hunt manga in English. Aihara's From Five to Nine manga inspired a live-action television series that premiered in October 2015.
