SIE Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden, SIE Corporate Director Atsushi Morita Both Resign

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced on Tuesday that SIE Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden (first image below) has resigned from his position and left SIE. In addition, the company also announced on the same day that SIE Japan Asia president and SIE corporate director Atsushi Morita (second image below) has retired due to age. Kazuhiko Takeda will take over his position as SIE corporate director.

Layden has occupied many roles within Sony since 1987, and was formerly the president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America.

Morita was previously the president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan.
