Gaku Kuze's Torimania Manga Moves to Manga Park

posted on by Alex Mateo

Hakusensha's Manga Park website and app announced that Gaku Kuze's (Life Lessons of Uramichi-Oniisan) Torimania manga will move from Square Enix's Gangan Online website to Manga Park and resume serialization there in early winter 2022.

The manga debuted on Gangan Online in November 2015. The manga's fifth compiled book volume shipped in Japan in January 2019. The romantic comedy takes place in the country of Torimania where people have wings.

Kuze's Life Lessons of Uramichi-Oniisan (Uramichi Oniisan) manga debuted in 2017 in Ichijinsha and pixiv's digital manga magazine Comic POOL. The manga previously won in the Web Manga category of Niconico's third Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Awards, took second place in 2018's pixiv and Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, Inc's "Web Manga General Election," topped the same competition's "Indies" category in 2017, and also made the top 20 of Kono Manga ga Sugoi's ranking for female readers 2018 list.

The manga inspired a television anime that premiered on July 5 after a delay from its previously scheduled 2020 premiere. The anime's website cited "production issues" as the reason for the show's delay. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
